More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I began babysitting at 13, this consisted of smaller and shorter periods of time just within my neighborhood. I eventually began nannying for families as I grew up and grew a larger amount of families that I worked for. These families had children ranging from infants to 14 year olds. my experience also ranged from quick babysitting jobs while parents went on a date to driving kids to summer activities or entertaining children throughout the day while parents were working. I used to work in childcare at my church where the ages ranged from 2-6.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love to play outside, whether thats playing sports or just getting outside. I also love to play games (boardgames, cardgames, make believe) as well as having down time like coloring or reading with older kids.

The most important part about being a nanny...

I think the most important parts about being a nanny are to bond with the kids, but also to be there to help parents with anything extra they need. I think that the role of a nanny in the end is to help the parents with anything extra that they could possibly need and to be that helping hand with anything extra that is on their plate.

My experience with special needs children...

I have some experience with working with kids that are on the spectrum. I also used to work with my cousin who has cerebral paulsy and autism. I love every kid the same and find working with children very rewarding.

The most important part about being a nanny...

One of my favorite nanny moments was when I was working with two brothers a few years ago. Our typical days consisted of playing outside in their apartment complex, playing board games, and I would make lunch and dinner for them. Nothing crazy but I spent a lot of time with them. When my time with them was over (I was leaving for college) they both made me gifts and cards to thank me and it was one of the sweetest gestures.
