Hello! My name is Lainey, and I am a recent graduate from Southwestern University. My degree is in Psychology, specifically a Bachelor of Arts. Throughout my time in my undergraduate studies, I have taken many courses that delve into children's development and psyche. Additionally, I conducted research under the supervision of my professor, Dr. Perilloux, with the scope of the studies aimed at family psychology. During my last semester I began tutoring students at a nearby elementary school with the bulk of my duties involving helping the kids with their reading skills. Before becoming a college student, I worked with children in various capacities. For 5 years I volunteered at my local library helping the children get excited about reading while also organizing Storytime and activities. While in High School I participated in the PALs program, an organized effort to help the struggling youth of our community. I have loved working with children and helping them in any way that I can.
