A little bit about me

Hi! My name is Lanie. I have 7+ years of childcare experience. Including one year of one-on-one nannying with an incredible toddler. I believe in “gentle” parenting, Montessori learning, and other like-minded tactics that promote curiosity, independence, confidence, and life skills. Growing minds need a safe and nurturing environment, surrounded by supportive mentors that help them navigate every obstacle, whether emotional, mental, or quite literally an “I can’t reach that yet” obstacle. I am an avid learner and am comfortable helping you implement learning activities into your child’s daily routine. I enjoy cooking, baking, gardening, and crafting! I love to share these hobbies with the little ones that I work with! I have two English Springer Spaniel puppies so I am comfortable with caring for animals that are in the home as well. If you decide that I am a good fit for your family, I promise to love and spoil your tiny humans as if they were my own!

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I volunteered as a “peer tutor” throughout my educational career. This involved mentoring and assisting individuals who had a special need.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

Playing with toys, building with blocks, engaging in sensory activities and age appropriate science experiments, going on scavenger hunts, taking short walks, enjoying a day at the park or the zoo, reading (literacy is HUGE for me, I will read at least 30 min a day to each child.)

The most important part about being a nanny...

Consistency. Be there for the kids, let them know that they are loved each and every day. If my babe needs me, I am there. Whether that means FaceTiming after hours, going to unpaid soccer games, school plays, or birthday parties, I will make sure that she knows I can be counted on.

The most important part about being a nanny...

One of the sweetest nanny moments that I experienced was standing across the room from my favorite tiny human when she looked up at me and said, “Lanie, I just love your heart.” It brought me to tears. I never thought that I could love someone else’s child so much until I started nannying. Now, it is hard to be away from my sweet babe on the weekends. Mondays can’t come soon enough!

Full-Time Child Care Provider Available in St. Augustine, FL: Tania P.

Hello, my name is Tania Perea. I recently relocated from California to Florida with my family. I have a wonderful 5 year old daughter who inspires my love for working with children.
I have experience working in a preschool environment, where I enjoyed helping create a safe, fun, and supportive space for young learners. While my daughter attended a cooperative preschool, I served as the President of the Parent Board. In that role, I coordinated events, worked closely with teachers and families, organized meetings, and helped strengthen the school community. The experience allowed me to develop strong leadership, communication, organization, and teamwork skills.
I am passionate about working with children and families and enjoy creating positive, welcoming environments where children can learn and grow. I am dependable, compassionate, organized, and eager to continue making a meaningful impact in my community while growing professionally.
