I have a background of over 6 years in behavioral therapy and special needs child care at Bancroft in Voorhees and their state group homes. Most importantly I’m 4’10 so I specifically work with smaller children. I am dedicated to the compassionate, individualized care your child deserves. Your concerns are my responsibility!! There are no easy fixes to reduce or eliminate severe behavioral issues in your child (self-injury, aggressiveness, meltdowns, tantrums, destructiveness, etc.) but we can start here! I’m here to learn and observe; also teach positive discipline strategies. Discipline strategies can guide all children towards appropriate behavior and away from inappropriate behavior. I’d be happy to help you understand and manage your child’s aggressive or self-injurious behavior. Don’t break the bank when you got me! We can continue sessions while I am babysitting! I just want to help.💕
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I absolutely love to read with “my kids” so I hope you have books! The park, beach for seashell collecting Painting, oil pastels and of course drawing is always a joy with the the little ones and of course myself! One family I watched over had a pottery machine and that was awesome to do with the triplets! A few times with one family we would make forts in the house and play make believe.. another job I had at a group home( 7 children) we would all play board/card games.. I’m a sucker for the classics but I can sure hold my own on some Xbox or PS. One year we even made a mini garden! I was raised only by my father so I have the balance of girly girl but also Tom boy. Speaking of girly girl; I love a mini primadonna! Lol count me in for play dress up and nails/ makeup etc! I’m an outdoors and indoors person, I can make a game up anywhere! Seashell collecting , the park, or a picnic would be a great way to spend the afternoon. I also offer tutoring/hw help any subject, even Spanish!
The most important part about being a nanny...
The most important part about being a nanny is to love the children and be knowledgeable about child development. I am taking the place of parents while caring for these children. So, I must provide a safe environment that provides for the growth needs (physical, cognitive, and emotional) of their charges. Being a nanny can be an extremely rewarding experience for everyone involved.

The most important part about being a nanny...
In my time as a caregiver, I have had many proud and rewarding moments with the children I have cared for. One thing in particular that I am most proud of was when I worked with a 4-year-old non-verbal Autistic child and taught him to say his first word "up". Using Applied Behavioral Analysis I was able to teach him say the /u/ sound and then the /p/ sound. Putting the two sounds together was half the battle, but once he was able to learn the meaning behind that sound, he was able to communicate using a word for the first time in his life.
