A little bit about me

Hi my name is LaTese ! I’m 21 years old and am Originally from New York. I majored for 3 years in pediatric nursing, however I discovered my love for caring for children during the 2020 pandemic and have been doing so ever since and am looking to make the switch to early childhood education! You’ll love me if you’d like a nanny who is a Disney kid at heart who loves to show her inner child and uses that to relate and bond with children. I’m super fun, and protective and if you allow me, I’ll treat your child with the same love and care as if they were my own. I like to implement learning especially for my younger ones to make sure they are kindergarten & up prepared. For the older ones outside of helping with curriculum/homework, I love to teach about emotional intelligence and regulation, self esteem and overall sowing seeds of life skills and gems that I’ve learned in my young adult journey thus far. More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I began as a head teacher at toddler university, and then began at the Goddard school of kennesaw as an assistant teacher aswell.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

Watching Disney classics, Coloring, dancing (I am classically and modern trained),playing hide and seek outside, tag, etc.

The most important part about being a nanny...

Making sure you sow the correct seeds in a child as a person who is having a major role in their life outside of their parents. Making sure the children are emotionally, physically, mentally, and spiritually fed and nurtured. And creating a bond with the children that goes above and beyond what is expected out of a nanny-child relationship. Becoming an extension of their family

My experience with special needs children...

My sister had Down’s syndrome (God rest her soul) and although she was the older sister i did take care of her as if she was my daughter. I do have experience with children on the spectrum aswell as I was a group leader in highschool primarily helping autistic children get adjusted to a non special needs school

The most important part about being a nanny...

I remember when I started getting chronic laryngitis and knew I’d eventually have to leave the school I was working for at the time. This special little boy named William was such a bright light in the class. Always smiling and happy and helpful. Knowing how tough life can be, and knowing it won’t always be easy for him, I wanted to make sure I did something for him even if he didn’t know. Just to show how much I really love and cared for him. So while he was sleeping, I prayed over him and asked that he be protected, and walk through this world with his head help high no matter what, be proud of his ethnicity and his heritage as an Asian American in a space where he is the minority (as I know that can sometimes be a struggle) and to give no one in this world the power to dim his light as he moves throughout life. I never had been moved to do something like that, but I’m glad I did. I still miss him dearly
