More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
From high school doing volunteering jobs with vulnerable kids to becoming a foreign languages teacher! Caring for children has been one of my passions, and learning every day from my past experiences as a teacher and babysitter/nanny has been a truly personal and professional growth.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
Indoor and outdoor activities are a way to show children the world and I am up for any kind of adventure. Either reading, doing some homework or Lego at home, going to the library for crafts or music activities, visiting a farm, biking, sledding, going to the park or planning playdates... I consider those activities and many more, crucial for children's personal and social development.
The most important part about being a nanny...
For me spending time with children, taking care and look after them is having fun, adventuring, growing up and showing them the importance of nature, family and animals. Last but not least sharing and learning new cultures.
The most important part about being a nanny...
My favorite nanny moment is noticing that the kids perceive me as someone who they can have a good time but also someone who they respect and love. Any person who takes care of children will definitely have an impact in their lives, therefore feeling that you are being a good role for them is amazing!

Babysitter Available in Beacon, NY: Allison H.
I am a caretaker, educator and autism advocate. I have been working with children for the last decade. From 2010 to 2013, I worked as a 1:1 support for children on the autism spectrum. I became a special needs classroom teacher in 2016 in NYC and worked at that school through the pandemic until 2022. I believe that children can learn and thrive in their goals as long as they are in a safe environment where they can be themselves. Empathy is the first step of my interactions, and I teach that respect and responsibility are shared. This ethos bolsters some of my most authentic skills; from creating welcoming sensory-friendly environments, to organization, communication styles, tutoring, emotional regulation and crisis support, as well as supporting natural curiosity and discovery. My personal interests include teaching science, music, writing music, planting and gardening, and reading.
