Almost every day, I help care for my best friend’s 18-month-old child, which has given me hands-on experience with feeding, playing, routines, and supervision. Additionally, I have worked in my church’s baby and toddler section since I was 8 years old, developing strong skills in patience, responsibility, and creating a safe, fun environment for children.

The most important part about being a nanny...
The most important part about being a nanny is creating a safe, loving, and positive environment where kids feel comfortable being themselves and parents feel confident leaving their children in my care. I believe being a nanny is more than just watching kids—it’s about building trust, being patient, and showing up every day with a good attitude and a caring heart. I take pride in making sure children feel supported, listened to, and encouraged, whether that’s through helping with routines, playing outside, or just being someone they can laugh with and feel safe around. I also think it’s important to help kids stay active, confident, and happy by doing fun things together like playing sports, especially soccer, going outside, and trying new activities. Most of all, I care deeply about the families I work with and always do my best to be dependable, respectful, and helpful in any way I can, because I know how important it is for parents to trust the person caring for their children.

My favorite nanny moment is building a strong bond with the kids I care for and watching them grow over time. Whether it’s helping a toddler learn something new or playing soccer and seeing them improve, it means a lot to be someone they feel safe and happy around. One time my friends sibling i was babysitting hit himself in the head with a ball, instead of crying he bursted out laughing. It showed me how tough he was and it put a smile on my face.
