Hello! I'm a bible college student looking for a job. At my previous position I nannied for a nurse who worked the night shift. I took care of a little boy overnight from 6pm-8am and I loved it so much. eventually she switched to day shift and I got less and less time with him but he still asks for me.
I'm a firm believer in actually playing with and connecting with the kids I'm watching, meaning they will not be stuck in front of the tv!! they will learn to use their imagination and play games and do crafts and grow in a healthy environment!
I have lots of experience working with special needs children. my sister has epilepsy and cerebral palsy as well a a few learning disabilities. I've spent hours helping calm her after tantrums and caring for her. I am very well equipped to deal with all kinds of meltdowns and tantrums without raising my voice. rather by the art of distraction and genuinely talking to them on their level.
