Is being a safe spot for your children, and family. I know this is a job where you usually don't have coworkers, but I still feel it is important to communicate and work as a team with the parents.
My experience with special needs children...
I have never had the opportunity to work one on one with any kids needing a little extra care, but prior to nannying I was a scribe for a psychiatrist who worked with autistic children, so I am familiar with their different needs and am confident I would be able to care for any child, no matter their individual needs with all the love and attention they need.
The most important part about being a nanny...
There are so many, but seeing a child's face when they are able to write their own name for the first time will all be my favorite!
