A little bit about me

My name is Lauren, and I am new to the Columbia area! I have several years of being a full-time nanny and babysitter, with children ages 6 weeks to 12 years old. During my time as a nanny and babysitter, I have learned to love and cherish the innocence of children, and allowing them to guide their play through self-discovery. I am also an advocate of age appropriate, education based arts & crafts, reading, writing, and sensory play. Additionally, I am willing to take children outside the home for interactions with other children, playground time, pool time (I was previously an assistant swim instructor), museums, etc. In addition to caring for children, I am also willing and able to complete household tasks, if requested and/or desired. I have an undergraduate degree in Sociology and Psychology, in addition to currently working part-time on a Master’s in Psychology. Don’t worry though, this is an online program, so scheduling is not an issue! I look forward to meeting your family!
