"I taught Sunday School with Laurie for six years. Some of the seasons were in the Kindergarten classroom and some were with infants and toddlers. Laurie's enthusiasm bubbles over whenever she's with children. She is fun and creative and very patient. She is loving and nurturing and skilled in all things required in nursery care. Laurie is also experienced caring for autistic children.
She has a knack for calming them down when meltdowns flare up.
I was always happy to teach with Laurie. She is a hard worker and a blessing to any child she cares for."

"Even though my daughter is 12 we still enjoy Laurie's services. We depend on her for overnights when we are out of town and the occasional event that our daughter prefers not to attend. She has helped with everything from our puppy dogs to getting her to school and practices, etc
We are incredibly comfortable with her services."

"We’ve really enjoyed working with Laurie over the last 6 months. She cared for our 3 year old son 4-5 days each week and they always had such a great time together! We have missed working with her since she moved and now lives an hour away, but we look forward to keeping in touch for occasional care in the future."

The most important part about being a nanny...
I want to be a partner with the parents by fitting in to their family routine. Parents have a lot on their plate and they want to be able to trust and depend on someone to care for their children in the same way they would if they were there. Of course there is no substitute, but the care provided must be loving with the child's safety and well-being as the priority. I feel blessed that they have entrusted me with their
precious children.

My experience with special needs children...
Children with autism.
The most important part about being a nanny...
I don't think I have "one" moment.
My experience as a nanny has given me much joy. Each child is an individual with different personalities. A smile, a hug, singing together, finding something new that excites a child, simple questions or statements they make, that make me smile or laugh. It's not a moment at all.... It's a combination of connecting with the child on their level and their personal needs. I love all children, and I will do everything I can to keep them safe, give them love, and provide an environment for them to thrive based on their individual. needs.
