College educated, active Respiratory Therapy license, CPR/BLS. Married to local Pharmacist who works at the children's hospital. Animal lover, healthy, very stable and happy lifestyle. Have local references. Have been with a family here in Estero for over 3.5 years. Clean driving record. Prior Air Force Air Traffic Controller. Activities I enjoy doing with children...
All age dependent
1 month to 1 year: work on milestone development and making sure that they are hitting those monthly milestones. Love Incorporating music and introduction to sensory play.
1.5 years and older: introducing social play via library storytime, playing at a park, going out for neighborhood strolls. Incorporating arts and crafts as well as more sensory and music time. Working on appropriate educational learning like colors, shapes, numbers, sounds of animals, recognition and identifying pictures. Also at this age period you can start to see what types of interest they have developed like cars, dinosaurs, animals, dolls, etc and focus on those.

I feel blessed to know that I have an impact in who they will become. I love seeing the pure joy that they feel when through their experiences. I take this job seriously and feel fortunate to have these experiences with them.
My experience with special needs children...
I have worked full-time with an autistic boy and it was a very rewarding and wonderful experience.
The most important part about being a nanny...
I think my favorite nanny moment happened after I left a meaningful position with an autistic child. He was nonverbal when starting the position. Through hard work while working alongside his therapists, parents and himself, he is now thriving in general ed. School and is in 1st grade. He is doing well academically and making a ton of friends. It has been an honor to be apart of his family and his success.
