The most important part about being a nanny...
One of my favorite nanny moments was when a little one I worked with started pointing out letter sounds on street signs after weeks of us turning everything into a “sound hunt” game (more specifically, the "B" sound for "baby" when playing with his baby doll). A few days later, their mom told me they were doing it with them, too. Seeing something we made playful and fun stick — and carry into their real world — is the best feeling. As a teacher, I love when learning sneaks in through joy.
