I have been a teacher's aide helping students learn and explore music ( 4years ). I have been doing odd jobs off and on for years. I also occasionally volunteer at a martial arts after school program in the classroom.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I tend to let the children led only changing the games and activities is they are unsafe or break rules you have set. Comment activities are; reading, playing instruments, playing board games or puzzles, and playing video games. I want to let children explore the world and make there own decisions. That includes play.
The most important part about being a nanny...
Make sure that the children are safe. Safety is the most important thing. Other than that is that the children have fun and that they can make their own decisions.
My experience with special needs children...
I have experience with children with ADHD autism and other disabilities inclubeing diabetes. I have also cared for children in wheelchairs. I understand what it's like to live with a disability.
The most important part about being a nanny...
One day I was watching a set of twins and they were showing me there bunny. The bunny was adorable in their arms. One of the twins accidentally slipped, and the bunny ended up, licking them and making them giggle. I did make sure the child was OK, they were unarmed. We ended up having a laugh and continued playing with the bunny.
