Hello everyone!

My name is Lily Rayne, and I'd love to be your family's next nanny!

Working with children has been my passion since I was nearly a child myself. I've had 6 years of experience teaching and tutoring children of all ages (along with adults), and have been babysitting and nannying young children for going on 5 years. I have the most experience with children under 4.

I graduated high school in 2025, and have since nannied under a few different circumstances. I've nannied for free in an underprivileged neighborhood in Oklahoma; I've been a live-in nanny at a horse ranch in Hawai'i; and I most recently nannied full-time live-out for a consecutive 8 months. These children ranged in age between 11mo-9yrs.

As of September 2026, I am looking for live-out part-time or full-time positions (based in Johns Creek, Georgia) now that the youngest in my previous family has started pre-K!

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I spent a couple of semesters of university pursuing an associate's in Early Childhood Education, especially to better equip myself to prepare my youngest nanny kid for pre-K. After immersing myself in information about child development and the education system, I observed and integrated into a 2nd grade classroom over the course of a semester. Every interaction with a child - whether through a lighthearted conversation or while guiding them through new math concepts - added a little more light to my life. Being an active part of a room full of little humans reminded me of some of my fondest memories in high school, when I led the Junior Classical League (Latin club) as president both for my own high school and for the neighboring middle school. Middle school meetings were always my favorite. I loved seeing little people genuinely excited to learn, and I loved the energy that's created when you put dozens of young people together. In every setting, working with children is my passion.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I could plan any number of activities with my 4 & 6 year old nanny kids, but their favorite ways to spend our time has been playing chase for almost a year now! They love when I suddenly stop, hide behind a large object, and wait for them to get close to pop up and scare them... what they don't know is that I only hide to take a break from running 😆 I love to encourage children to use their energy and engage with their body, while also prompting them to grow their critical thinking and conversational skills. I love baking, playing pretend, and learning how they like to play. Especially with infants/small toddlers, I love seeing how fast they're learning all at once. Skill building and fostering development are so valuable to me, from learning to walk to learning that the black side of the magnet sticks to the fridge. Kids are all wonderfully unique; I love matching activities to their individual personalities.

The most important part about being a nanny...

Of course, my first priority is always to keep the children safe. After that, to foster their development; pushing them to believe in themselves while knowing how to ask for help, and teaching them skills necessary to build upon as they get older. But truly, my favorite part is to connect with the child. I absolutely adore having a close relationship with a child. Getting to foster tender, loving relationships with my 2 most recent nanny kids over the past year has been such a gift. I love seeing a child happy and comfortable, and I adore giving parents a chance to relax and catch their breath a bit. I believe that childcare is such a special responsibility; my little sister and I had several nannies growing up, and how they interacted with me had a very real effect on me now. I've kept a stuffed animal for 9 years from my last nanny, who I loved very dearly. That's the kind of caregiver I want to be for your child.

My experience with special needs children...

To put it simply, the special needs child I've been closest to throughout my life has been none other than... myself! While I flew under the radar in K-12, as an AP/honors student with good enough grades/school involvement, I was officially diagnosed with autism very recently, in summer 2026. The evaluation process involved a lot of recognizing different struggles I had as a child that I've progressively learned to either mask or self-accommodate for. I can not speak to having extensive training in higher-needs special-needs children; I am learning, just as I think we all are in terms of neurodivergence and other disabilities. I am very open to learning more about different special needs your child may require, and I do believe that I can meet them with compassion and some type of understanding.

The most important part about being a nanny...

The first time I got to show the baby I was nannying's family that she could walk. After so much effort in teaching her phrases like "try again" and "stand back up", and reiterating that she can "do hard things" in all aspects of her day to day life, I got to watch her grow increasingly confident in herself and excited to push herself out of her comfort zone. Things she had been curious about before, like walking and buckles, were now things she was eager to ask for help with and learn how to do herself. Teaching her sign language, words, mobility skills and perseverance were such incredible experiences!
