I cared for children all my life, I’ve cared for all ages although my main focus has been infants and toddlers. I’ve also worked with college Nannie’s and tutors as a nanny all over San Jose for a few years, And worked as a paraeducator for berryessa district in Milpitas working with toddlers with severe disabilities.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love engaging children in a variety of fun and educational activities that stimulate their creativity and imagination. Indoors, I enjoy doing arts and crafts, where we can explore different materials and create unique projects together. Playing board games is another favorite, as it not only provides entertainment but also helps develop important skills like strategy and teamwork. Baking is always a hit, as it combines learning with the joy of making tasty treats. When it comes to outdoor activities, I enjoy taking walks to the park, where we can enjoy the fresh air, play, and explore nature together.

The most important part of nannying is creating a safe and nurturing environment where children feel loved, supported, and valued. Building a strong, trusting relationship with both the children and their parents is key, as it fosters open communication and ensures that the child’s needs are fully met. Beyond just providing care, it’s about being a positive influence, encouraging growth and development, and making sure that each child feels secure and confident as they explore the world around them.

My experience with special needs children...

I have extensive experience caring for children with special needs, ranging from infants to 10-year-olds. My work has included supporting children with Down syndrome, mild to severe autism, and sensory processing disorders. Additionally, I’ve cared for children with gastrointestinal bowel issues, where I am responsible for feeding them through specialized shake or smoothie drinks. My approach is centered on understanding each child’s unique needs and providing compassionate, individualized care to help them thrive.

The most important part about being a nanny...

One of my favorite nanny moments was when I was caring for a child with severe autism who had difficulty communicating. After weeks of building trust and establishing a routine, he surprised me by saying my name for the first time. It was a small word, but it meant the world to both of us. That moment reminded me of the impact patience and consistent care can have, and it’s something I’ll never forget.
