Hi!
My name is Leili, and I'm a junior in college. I will be attending UCLA this fall which I am incredibly excited about, and am looking for a babysitting job while I'm on summer break.
I have always loved spending time with/taking care of children, as I grew up with many younger cousins and friends with younger siblings. I am experienced in taking care of children from various backgrounds and ages, and I also have experience with tutoring and homework help. I believe it's essential to always cater directly to each child's unique needs and preferences, with the utmost patience, diligence, and care.
When I'm not in school or working, I enjoy reading, playing volleyball, and spending time with my family and friends!

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

Last summer I was a camp counselor for the SoLa I CAN Foundation, a non-profit organization that organizes summer camps for underprivileged children in South LA. We teach the children technological/entrepreneurial skills, in hopes of providing them with the opportunity to grow both intellectually and creatively, and to build a better future for themselves and others. As a counselor, I taught the children how to build their own websites, create games, make movies, and many other activities to boost their creativity and sense of community. My duties also involved supervising the children, helping them with snacks and lunch, and just making sure everyone was having an enjoyable experience.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love doing both indoor and outdoor activities with children - reading, walking/going to the park, playing board games/making puzzles, swimming, playing sports, baking, and day trips for longer activities like the zoo.

The most important part about being a nanny...

The most important part about being a nanny is being able to understand and care for each child's needs, as there is nothing more crucial than making sure the children feel comfortable, safe, and seen, and that they are having an enjoyable experience. Of course, safety is my first priority, which is why I am always diligent and watchful, but I also believe that making sure the kids are having fun and letting them express themselves is also incredibly important.

My experience with special needs children...

I have cared for a 15-year-old boy with Down syndrome, as well as some younger children with autism as well.

The most important part about being a nanny...

My favorite nanny moment was definitely when I had a swimming day with my little cousins, as we had so much fun hanging out by the pool and playing games.
