From October 2018 to September 2019 is my most recent nanny experience. I cared for a one year old just learning to walk and talk. She became bilingual and was running around in no time. Very independent, I let her choose almost everything we did and she was happy yet enriched. We were outside every chance we could get; walking everywhere. Playing at the park, swimming, feeding ducks, reading, fun snack times, nap times, library trips, meeting other people and children, and overall just being a kid and learning.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
Any arts and crafts. Coloring and painting collages and slime. Listening to music and singing and dancing. Making forts. Reading.
The most important part about being a nanny...
is patience and empathy. Being able to pause your emotions and putting yourself in the shoes of the child is vital.
