A little bit about me

I have been a stay at home dad for seven years also taking care of my wife who had a mental health disability preventing me from leaving my daughter alone with her. My circumstance has changed and I am seeking part-time work to bring value to my family and the community.

Do to my wife's condition I was the full-time mother to my baby and raised her nearly alone.

A youthful 52 year old open-hearted gentleman. I studied medicine to help people, yet ended up in finance, then working on energy projects prior to the birth of my child, which forever altered the course of my journey.

I am a travelled cultured gentleman who drives a Mercedes S550, and dresses well.

I like my environment clean and tidy, and encourage manners.

I love children and animals, and seek creative outlets for healthy engagement.

I prefer to remain independent with flexible schedule.

I don't seek the corporate life anymore. I prefer something with children and helping poeple.

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I did everything for my daughter as a stay-at-home father. I made my own formula when she was a baby, because my wife could not breast feed, and we didn't like the ingredients in commercial formulas. I cared for her development in every way, including emergencies, nurturing education, and lots of affection. I home schooled her until this year; I decided to enroll her into elementary school to free myself for my own pursuits.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I enjoy reading, going to playgrounds, nature walks, board games, culinary shows, outdoor games and activities, and whatever creative desire comes to mind.

I often take my daughter to the splash pad when we are not doing education lessons.

The most important part about being a nanny...

I enjoy teaching and holding space for my child, and children have an affinity to me. I guess I miss my own innocence and childhood experiences.

My daughter was a special need child do to my wife's condition, causing developmental delay. My experience is only my own child, not professionally.

As a dad, I have unlimited moments, but the stand-out one that comes to mind is witnessing the smile on her face when she experienced the marry go round at the DC zoo when she was 2 yrs old.
