I absolutely love doing activities that foster development while also being fun for the kids! Whether I'm working on areas of speech, language, physical, or emotional development I love planning and making activities that are engaging and exciting!
These activities can range from painting by number, playing with slime, board games, interactive videos, dance battles and so much more. I also enjoy spending time outside and find it incredibly beneficial for kids! Whether that is taking a walk around the neighborhood, going to the park, going for a walk around campus, going to the pool, or having a scavenger hunt and investigating their front yard!

Making children feel safe and welcome in your presence! Whether I am just talking about life with kiddos or we are having a difficult emotional outburst it is so important to support them and validate them in order to reinforce their trust in me.
My experience with special needs children...
Throughout high school I worked directly with our special needs population in my hometown. Carrying that experience into my collegiate career I volunteered at the Crossing Points center located at the University of Alabama. This program is a transitional center for adults with ranging degrees of special needs. During my time there I worked directly with adults helping them learn and build upon skills across all aspects of life.
