More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I gained experience in childcare by starting as a floater at a daycare and eventually becoming a lead young toddler teacher. Following that, I transitioned to a nanny role, caring for the same child for almost three years.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I enjoy creating sensory activities and embracing the outdoors as much as possible. As well as introducing children to the wonders of local flora and fauna and singing uplifting affirmation songs with them.
The most important part about being a nanny...
Being a nanny is important to me because it allows me to play a role in creating a more inclusive and loving world, using my passion for childcare to make a difference.
My experience with special needs children...
I have not had experience working with special needs children, but I am currently undergoing a diagnostic process for Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) myself.
The most important part about being a nanny...
My favorite nanny moment was hearing my NK out of the blue tell me I am their best friend and loves getting to play with me, it still melts my heart to think of it.

Full-Time Child Care Provider Available in Auburn, ME: Elizabeth J.
I am a mom to one child, Nora, she is almost three. Nora is spunky but also has a gentle and go with the flow personality. It is important to me that I find a family that is comfortable with Nora being with me. I have always had a passion for working with children. I have an extensive background in childcare. For the last two and a half years I have been nannying, and prior to that I was the lead infant teacher at a childcare center for 6 years.
I found that being a nanny is the most rewarding, because you are able to build a more personal relationship. Every family, every child, will have their own needs and I am able to cater to that. I am open to more duties around a home including grocery shopping, dishes, and laundry. I really enjoy indoor and outdoor play. Arts and crafts, imaginative play, sensory and even some rainy day fun. I also enjoy getting out into the community, for example going to the children’s museum, story time at the library or visiting the local playground.
