I started babysitting for family and friends around age 13 and for the last 2 1/2 years I’ve been working as a Registered Behavioral Technician for children aged 2-7.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I grew up in Girl Scouts and playing softball, I love to be outside and to do arts and crafts, coloring, reading books, and watching movies. I think it’s important for kids to stay active so going on walks, going to the park, riding bikes or even following a kids yoga video if it’s raining outside.

I think patience is the most important part of working with children, being able to take a step back and really think about how they are feeling, what they may want or how to help in whatever situation you may be in.

As a Registered Behavioral Technician I have a lot of experience with children on the autism spectrum. Growing up I also babysat a child with cerebral palsy and a child with Down syndrome.
The most important part about being a nanny...
My favorite moments with any of the children I have worked with is seeing them grow. The most amazing feeling is seeing the my nonverbal children speak, or even attempt to speak for the first time, or children who have had history of physical aggression use their words to express how they are feeling or that they need space for a moment.
