A little bit about me

Hello! I am a senior at Western Michigan studying child psychology! I have 3+ years of experience in childcare, I am comfortable with cleaning, cooking, and teaching children, as well as taking them on adventures (if families are comfortable with it). I am CPR and First Aid certified and genuinely enjoy being around kids. For me, being a nanny means loving the kid unconditionally and keeping them save. I am not a parent, but more of an extension of the parents!

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I have been an assistant teacher for a couple daycares, as well as a private nanny for a few families as well as occasional babysitting.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I enjoy going for walks, going to the beach, exploring museums, picking out books at libraries, arts and crafts, dress-up, and having kids help me cook!

The most important part about being a nanny...

Is making sure the children are safe, fed, and well-loved. Being a nanny is not about taking over the moms job, but about becoming an extension of the parents that the children feel safe to talk to, and happy to hangout.

My experience with special needs children...

I have experience with special needs children in a daycare ad school setting. I have not yet been a nanny for a child with special needs, though I am confident I will excel.

The most important part about being a nanny...

My most heartfelt moment nannying was a week after I went off to college and had to stop nannying, the mom reached out and said her child kept asking when his next "miss lexie" day was. It made me realize how big of an impact a nanny is, especially one who makes the time spent together fun and exciting!

Kayla R. - Seeking Work in Kalamazoo

Babysitter Available in Kalamazoo, MI: Kayla R.

I’m currently going into my senior year of college at western Michigan university where I will receive my bachelor’s degree of business administration. I love being a sitter because I truly enjoy spending time with children, helping them learn, grow, and have fun in a safe environment. Every child has a unique personality, and it's rewarding to build connections with them and see their confidence and creativity develop. I find joy in creating engaging activities and making sure kids feel cared for and supported. I have experience working as a camp counselor, where I was responsible for supervising and engaging up to five children at a time, ranging from ages 2 to 14. In this role, I organized activities, ensured safety, and provided guidance tailored to each age group. I am CPR and First Aid certified, which means I am trained to handle emergency situations and provide immediate care if needed. I have strong skills in communication, patience, problem-solving, and multitasking.

Abrar B. - Seeking Work in Kalamazoo

Part-Time Nanny Available in Kalamazoo, MI: Abrar B.

I am a pre-nursing student at KVCC. I babysat 3 kids for a few years as my first job. Their ages at the time ranged from 3-8 when I first started. I am drawn to nursing because I love patient care and just helping people in general with their needs. I think I am drawn to babysitting in the same way as I love being able to play with kids while also teaching them important life skills.

Hi! I’m a caring and dependable nanny who truly enjoys working with kids and being part of their growth. I currently work in a veterinary clinic, which has helped me become very patient, attentive, and calm in all kinds of situations. Whether it’s helping with homework, doing crafts, playing outside, or keeping daily routines on track, I stay engaged and hands on. I’m also a big animal lover, so I’m very comfortable around pets.
