A little bit about me

I have experience with all ages, newborn to high school! I am CPR and First Aid certified, as well as Safe Sleep. I believe that my time with kiddos should not be spent behind a screen. There is too much potential for those little brains when they’re with me! Educational games, songs, and activities along side all kinds of play with an adult who is capable of walking them through every situation with a guiding hand is my idea of a perfectly curated environment. Children are sponges, and the quality of attention and care they receive will directly affect them as people and help prepare them for the future.

I have studied classroom teaching methods and found a combination works best for me! With respect as the base of the relationship, I cater to their interests and encourage growth quietly through the things we do together and independently. All children are people too, who do things at their own speed and that’s perfectly okay — that’s what life is all about, doing you!

"Lexie is great. She was with our family for a little under 2 years and I wish she still was. I decided to stay home after I got pregnant with our 4th. The kids loved her. She was so helpful around the house if we needed it,(kids laundry, kids dishes, clean up the playroom). She knew so many things about child safety so i always felt reassured letting her drive my kids around! Our kids were always doing age appropriate activities if inside. She also made sure to take them outside and focus on playing vs letting them have a ton of screen time which we love! None of our kids ever felt left out or a lack of attention which was so important to us! It was honestly really nice to leave my kids with someone I trusted. We still use her for date nights."

I have experience with both behavioral and medical needs! I have babysat for children with autism, adhd, and g tubes. I was also a personal care attendant, responsible for administering medicine amongst other basic care needs.
