Worked as an assistant teacher for 2 years in the infant & toddler room in a daycare, I was lead preschool teacher for 2 years. I have cared for children as young as 6 weeks - 5 years. Many years of experience babysitting. Working as a behavioral therapist for children with autism, ranging from 4 years old to 13 years old for 10 months now.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
Reading books, doing puzzles, sensory bins, folder games. I have endless ideas for inside activities that’ll keep them learning and occupied! Outdoor activities would include going on walks, exploring, playing ball, pretend play, etc.
My experience with special needs children...
I have experience with teaching and caring for multiple kids with autism, developmental delays, adhd, anxiety, and the not so typical behavioral issues behind them. I teach children kindness and empathy, self regulation and basic life skills. I teach them sign language and how to learn through song/movement.
