After the kids were older and could drive i became a veterinary technician for almost 8 years. I’ve spent the last 2.5 helping children in difficult circumstances. I.e. spousal abuse circumstances, addiction circumstances. I made sure they never felt neglected or anything but loved until their home was better. Much like my home was.
