I love encouraging creativity! I enjoy passive activities in which children can create stories (coloring, arts and crafts, reading and writing) and more active stuff like playing pretend, swimming, or creating obstacle courses. I also love helping kids learn to problem solve- whether that be doing homework, talking things through or helping them see something from a different perspective!
My experience with special needs children...
I've cared for kids with many different needs. I'm comfortable working with a wide variety of care levels. I have a lot of experience working with individuals with autism, adhd, PANDAS, as well as kids with developmental disabilities. I've taken several American Sign Language courses to widen my ability to meet communication needs.
