Hi! My name is Lilly! I graduated from the University of Alabama with a degree in Communicative Disorders and a minor in Human Development and Family Studies. I currently work at Children’s of Alabama as a Speech Language Pathology Assistant, where I work with children and families every day.

I’ve always loved working with kids and have several years of childcare experience, including working in a daycare, nannying, and babysitting for families with children of different ages. I’m dependable, organized, patient, and love creating a fun and comfortable environment for kids. I’m also happy to help with activities, meals, light tidying, and whatever helps make the day run a little smoother for the family.

I have several years of childcare experience, including nannying and babysitting for families with children of different ages, as well as working at Forest Lake United Methodist Church Daycare. I currently work as an SLPA at Children’s of Alabama, where I work with children and families every day. I also studied child development as part of my minor in Human Development and Family Studies at the University of Alabama.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I enjoy doing arts and crafts, playing outside, going on walks, reading books, playing games, and finding fun activities based on each child’s interests. I also love getting out of the house for things like trips to the park, library, or other age appropriate activities!

The most important part about being a nanny...

I think the most important part of being a nanny is creating a safe, loving, and comfortable environment where children can be themselves. I also think building trust with both the children and their parents is so important. I want parents to feel confident that their children are safe, cared for, and having fun while they’re with me!

My experience with special needs children...

Through my current role as an SLPA at Children’s of Alabama, I have experience working with children with a variety of developmental, communication, and support needs. I’m comfortable adapting activities and communication to each child and always try to create a patient, encouraging, and comfortable environment for them.

The most important part about being a nanny...

One of my favorite nanny memories was with a little girl I used to nanny. We would take afternoon walks to the playground and bring a snack to eat outside together. It was such a simple part of our routine, but it became something we both looked forward to and is still one of my favorite memories from nannying!
