More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
My relevant experience includes private in-home childcare, infant and toddler care, overnight care, church childcare, classroom support, coaching, and working with children from infancy through adolescence. I’ve worked with over 15 families in the area and bring a calm, dependable, and professional approach to every family I work with.
I also worked as a teacher for two years, which strengthened my ability to create structure, support learning and development, communicate with families, and manage routines with patience and consistency.
I’m Adult and Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED certified, hold my Texas Educator certification, and have completed additional training in areas such as trauma-informed care, child safety, dyslexia awareness, seizure training, concussion prevention, and emergency response. I’m also currently continuing my education by working toward infant sleep certification.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...
Activities I love doing with children include singing, dancing, reading stories, writing, hands-on sensory and developmental play, exploring hobbies they’re excited about, and introducing fun things like musical instruments and creative activities. I also love getting kids moving and having fun through sports and active play, especially basketball and track!
My favorite part is learning what makes each child light up and creating fun, engaging moments that help them feel confident, happy, and excited to learn!

The most important part about being a nanny...
The most important part about being a nanny is understanding that every family is different, every child is different, and every day can look a little different too. Being a great caregiver means showing up with adaptability, calmness, consistency, support, fun, and a strong focus on safety. I also believe one of the most meaningful parts of this work is becoming a trusted part of a family’s support system. Families were never meant to do everything alone—we were meant to have a village, and it truly takes one.
My experience with special needs children...
I also have experience working with children and young adults with diverse learning, behavioral, and developmental needs. I worked two summers at Camp Blessing, where I provided overnight care for campers ages 6–30 in a special needs camp setting. I also spent a semester substituting in special education classrooms with students ranging from kindergarten through age 21 before becoming a certified teacher.
As a 7th grade English teacher for two years, I taught in an inclusive co-teach classroom and supported over 80 of my 120 students with IEPs, 504 plans, and other individualized accommodations and classroom modifications. These experiences strengthened my patience, adaptability, behavior support skills, and ability to create a safe, encouraging environment where every child can thrive.

The most important part about being a nanny...
One of my favorite nanny moments was helping a child who was absolutely terrified of swimming at the beginning of the summer. With lots of patience, encouragement, and taking things one small step at a time, we built his confidence little by little. By the end of the summer, he was practically part fish and never wanted to get out of the pool! In Texas, it’s way too hot not to be in the water during June, July, and August, so getting to watch that transformation was such a fun and rewarding experience. 🥰

Being around kids comes naturally to me because I’m attentive, nurturing, and protective.
