A little bit about me

During the summer of my junior year in highschool, I went to Tanzania for 6 weeks to volunteer. I went through the organization IVHQ. I taught at a school during the day, teaching children ages from infancy to 12 years. I taught them the English language, along with some basic science and math skills. I had also helped prepare the meals and feed the children. It was a great learning experience for me, I got to connect with many people, along with learning about a different culture and their practices!
During my senior year, I took a Nursing Assistant class at a nearby college. It was a 1 semester class, with a state skills and knowledge exam and clinicals at the end. Nursing has been one of my career interests, and with taking this course I learned so much more about the career field and what a typical work day would look like! It helped me decide whether or not I want to pursue this career path, or follow a different one! I learned more about my different interests in the field too!
