More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I regularly help care for my six cousins, all under the age of five, so I’m very experienced with infants and young children. I’ve coached youth league volleyball at the Ceredo Kenova Community Center, helping run practices and supervise groups of kids. I’ve also assisted at my cousin’s daycare when needed and babysit for families from time to time. I’m reliable, hands-on, and very comfortable caring for multiple children at once

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I enjoy creating a balance of engaging and age-appropriate activities both indoors and outdoors. With younger children, I focus on things like reading, imaginative play, puzzles, and simple arts and crafts. Outdoors, I like organizing active play such as games, walks, and sports to keep them moving and entertained. I also incorporate structured activities when appropriate, like basic learning games or skill-based play, while still keeping everything fun and interactive.

My experience with special needs children...

I don’t have direct experience working with children with special needs, but I do have experience as a Direct Support Professional (DSP) working with adults with disabilities. In that role, I assist with daily living tasks such as personal care, meal preparation, medication reminders, and maintaining a structured routine. I also support individuals in developing independence, social skills, and community involvement. This work focuses on providing consistent, patient, and individualized care, which allows each person to feel safe, supported, and more confident in their daily lives.
