A little bit about me

I have been a nanny, both full time and part time, for the past 7 years. My positions have ranged from 55 hr/wk to 16 hr/wk, with the number of children and their ages varying across the board. Whether it be a full time position with 3 boys under the age of 4, or part time after school care with one 10 year old girl, I love getting to be apart of a child's growth and learning.

I am the type of person who desires clear/direct communication and expectations, and do not use consequences as a threat to receive good behavior from children. In the same way that I desire to good communication with the parents, I so communicate with the children. By laying out clear boundaries and expectations, along with the consequences that follow if those are not met, I have found that this builds a level of trust and respect with both the parents and children.
