My favorite nanny moment involved a baby girl in a family I had been working with for a couple of years (her older sister was in preschool on this particular morning) and I had just taken my first ever positive pregnancy test after 5+ years of trying. She was the first person I told I was pregnant, even before my husband. I said “Megs, guess what! I’m going to have a baby!” And she whispered back “baby!” It was like she was saying she knew I wanted her to keep my happy secret. She felt how important and special it was. 🩷
