A little bit about me

I am a mother to a wonderful 6yo and I have had a significant amount of experience with children through time volunteering at my churches over the years and just being there for friends and family to care for their children. So although much of my experience is unpaid, I still have the knowledge. Ive been CPR and First Aide trained before but said no as I do not know if they are recent enough. Last did infant CPR in October 2018.
I love being hands on and screen free. I love exploring interests and supporting milestone building. I am educated in Occupational Therapy with a psychology minor. I did take child development courses in high school and with college I took child psychology and also several pediactric courses with the OT focus. Play is so important to learning and I enjoy fostering a nurturing and positive atmosphere for learning and growing. I am happy to help encourage healthy habits. Im pet friendly as I love animals. Im eager to get to know you and your family!

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I have volunteered at my local churches throughout my life. I always enjoy my time with children and learning from them as much as they learn from me.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

From running around outside to board games, arts and crafts, baking and cooking, play pretend, playground, library, walks outside, I love to be active and provide fun learning experiences.

The most important part about being a nanny...

building a connection and bond with the family through kind, loving care and open communication. Working as a team and being part of the village for families is so vital to the success for the children and families. Children and parents need to know they can trust and rely on the adults they are interacting with.

My experience with special needs children...

I have worked at a special needs sleep away camp for children and adults with disabilities. I have occupational therapy background in which I have done various clinicals in different environments. I have worked with children and adults with various abilities through volunteer work as well.

The most important part about being a nanny...

I would say when I was told that a little one who does not warm up easily to new people got excited after a day or two, came home and was told Id be there. I love to know that the kids I am working with have fun and look forward to seeing me again!
