Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I have Nannied with many families, and taught at schools, preschools, and my favorite was TK 3-4yr olds
I have been a Career Nanny/House Manager for families since graduating college in 1994 where I majored in Early Childhood Education and dual majored in Criminal Justice. I spent 8years working with trouble teens at Wayside Youth and Family Support Network as an Assistant Director at a residential treatment facility. While working there 30hours a week I still had my Nanny position 2 days a week.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I am extremely creative and I pride myself on my passion for educational play. I love creating games, doing projects, and making things a fun learning experience for the kids. I am fascinated with early cognitive development and enjoy teaching in instilling letter recognition and reading and writing skills at a young age.. I love doing crafts and building things, creating things.. I love to play outside and plan picnics at the park, going to the library, and visiting new places, sometimes it's nice to just sit and draw and talk....and most importantly -listen.
The most important part about being a nanny...
The right fit with a family, being on the same page. I have high values and I believe that shows in my work and most importantly in the relationships formed with the children I care for. A Nanny is a partnership with the family in doing whatever needs to be done to make the household run smoothly- errands, laundry, helping with homework and keeping things organized, etc. It's imperative that the parents and Nanny be on the same page and feel comfortable having 100% transparency so the children view us as team- a united front working together in their best interest
Having been on both sides of the Nanny hiring scene I hired an employed great Nannys when my kids were younger and having been a professional Career Nanny all of my life I come armed with the knowledge and experience to build a mutually beneficial relationship with families. After raising my own and helping to raise so many I have cared for I am a Nanny/Teacher/Mom down to my very core-it's not just what I do it's who I AM

I have experience working with children with special needs, ADD/ADHD, Physical emotional and learning disabilities. I have experience working with Hoyer lifts and paraplegia, NG feeding tube etc
The most important part about being a nanny...
Out of all my years of parenting and nannying experiences, aside from the things I have discovered with my own children, my favorite Nanny moment came when I took a set of two-year-old little girl twins to the zoo for the first time and discovered they had an amazing talent for imitating every animals' noises!! So much so that they attracted a huge crowd and people were mesmerized!! They ended up doing Voice-overs -as a paid job at the age of four! and are still to this day- they are now 9!! We never know what children are capable of until we put them in the spotlight to shine!! I believe it’s our job as adults/parents/caretakers to empower children to be the best that they can be and allow them to make their own choices (when it’s safe to) and sometimes allow them to make mistakes but it’s all in how we teach them to acknowledge the difference - THATS what matters.
