A little bit about me

My name is Liz, I live in Arlington. I am married to a wonderful guy named Matt and we have a 5-year-old son named Waylan. I have been in the corporate world for quite a while and have decided to go back to school to finish my business degree. I am looking for a job with a little bit more flexibility, but also that doesn't require me to take work home with me every day. I am stable, don't have any family drama and prefer a job with a little more freedom to make decisions. I figured nannying would be a great place to start! I babysat a lot during my teens and keep our nieces and nephews quite often, sometimes for days at a time. I have two nephews (4 and 14) who have disabilities, both emotional and cognitive, so I am familiar with the handling and care of children with special needs. I would be more than happy to introduce you to my son to get a glimpse of how he's been raised since I don't have much in the way of references. I am familiar with all of the activities a child would normally do, from sports to time at the library to making trips to the zoo and doctor's appointments. My son currently attends a Montessori school and we are highly-involved with his learning there. He learned to read when he was 3 1/2, knows basic sign language, a little Spanish and can name the majority of the presidents, so these are all things I could pass on to your child.
