A little bit about me

I am Lorena. I have e 3 adult children of my own. I have numerous years of childcare experience. I have CPR training but it has been many years since I had classes. I am planning to renew my certification as soon as I am hired to work for a family again. I have worked both Elder care and childcare. The last family I was with almost 5 years. My mom got cancer and I had to quit working to care for her. I have taken the last couple of years off. I am looking to find a young family to work with for many years to come. If hired by you, my job is to care for your little ones the way you want me too. I want you to feel secure that your children are safe so you don't have to worry about them while I am there. More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I have 15+ years of caring for children. I have cared for kids who were autistic and some who had mental special needs. I know how to be patient and work with those more difficult. I am reliable and have a car. My last job I would actually take the kids to dentist/doctor appointments and to and from preschool. I love reading to the kids and taking trips to the library and to the park. I try to treat the kids the way you want me to. I want the parents to know that their children are safe and taken care of and your beliefs are supported by me.

My experience with special needs children...

I cared for a mentally challenged boy who was 10 years old and almost as big as me. He tried to hurt me once where I had to restrain him. We made it through that and we became good friends.

The most important part about being a nanny...

When the 5 year old boy I was caring for realized after 3 years of me being his nanny--that this was my job. He thought I just came over to play with him and hang out. Lol. I did love playing with him and hanging out. He will be 11 in August and I still enjoy hanging out with him.
