A little bit about me

Hi, my name is Lori Bernard. I live in Plymouth with my husband and our two cats, Mila and Denver. I have about 5 years of experience working with adults with physical and intellectual disabilities, and about 5 years working with children. My BA is in Child Learning and Development. I have taught toddlers in Wisconsin, taught toddlers and mentored ECE college students at Concordia University, St. Paul's campus daycare for 2 years, and have been teaching the 2's classroom at Beautiful Savior in Plymouth most recently. Most of my experience is with 1-3 year old children, with experience caring for a max of 14 children at a time and creating fun and engaging learning experiences that help them grow and learn in all the different developmental areas.

More About Me

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

Kids learn best through hands on and real life experiences. We love to interact with sensory play, movement activities, and art. Easy cooking and packing things together like slime or playdough and also some of my favorites. Some simple science experiments are something we can also try out if that's of interest to them as well! Anything that gets us creative, exploring, and getting messy (I don't mind cleaning up the mess and doing some laundry).
Going to the beach, pool, park, library and pet store to see the kitties are just some fun activities we can do. I love me some winter play, so we can get bundled up for the weather and find some fun sledding hills or build a snowman (followed up with some nice warm cocoa, of course!)
