My name is Martha Gordon I rather just be called martie though I have helped raise my niece and nephew and great niece and nephew all my life. I do know cpr for adults and babies but not certified in it I went to classes in Ohio for them but I didn't think needed it. I moved from Ohio to start new beginning and new start. I can't have kids myself but I have a emotional support dog who is my child so if I have to move with family it's not just me it's Nikita to he is good with other animals well trained for a malamute he is really calm granted he has his mouthy times but really good at being quiet most of the time. He gets along with other dogs gets along with children. Can't say they wouldn't be protected after he adopted you as his family sorry it's in his nature to protect his family is good with people coming in and out of place but will let you know if he likes them or if he has a problem with them. Sorry my life time i learned to trust his judgment on people then my own.

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I have only took care of my nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. I have token care of children starting from age day1 from when come home from hospital to age 18.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

Playing games, swimming, crafts, coloring, learning programs, baking with them/ decorating sugar cookies. Helping them learn anything want to know, Helping them out in anyway that makes there minds expand. Love being outside with them where the explore the nature.
Granted babies on the other hand reading good books to them. Taking care of them making them smile giggle is always the best thing.
I am 44 years old I learned in the time that I have been babysitting that all children are different like different things they like even as a newborn different things keep them calm and happy there is not just one way to do things and as adult helping my niece with my great nieces and nephews they expect things different to be teach then when I was a kid. I willing to help you in anyway that you want your children raise them
I learned of the years that a babysitter is just that we go by the parents plains we are just friends to help them to get their plain going and keep it going

The most important part about being a nanny...

Knowing that you did some good in that child's person life. To letting the child or person know they have always someone for them.

My experience with special needs children...

My great nephew has special needs he going on 4 or 5 now. He needs hands on full attention extra work on speech learning things i don't know exactly what you call what he has but love him the same was willing to work with him on everything I took the time for him to teach him and help him as he needed.

I have to god children that was on a machine that told us when they stopped breathing i learned baby cpr and adults cpr but when I did learn it they didn't do certificates or licenses for it.
I know my grammar sucks. I don't know what medical terms that are used for most children that I disdescrbe on the be half of god children or half of my great-nephew. Sorry I'm not a don't have medical qualifications for that.

The most important part about being a nanny...

Seeing the smile on their faces. Watching them grow. Watching them get that spark in their eyes and learning from what they can teach me as well as I tech them. I'm sorry.I'm 44 years old and just picking.One favorite moment is hard.I have seen a lot of things that make it a favorite and too many to choose from.
