My experience with special needs children...

During my time coaching youth soccer and working at summer camps, I had the opportunity to care for and support children with special conditions, including kids with ADHD, autism, and other developmental differences. I’m always committed to learning and growing to better support each child’s unique needs.

The most important part about being a nanny...

One of my favorite moments that reminds me why I love working with kids happened one summer at camp. A young boy with autism was having a hard time joining the group for a soccer game, he was nervous and felt overwhelmed by the noise. I remembered how I used to help my little brother feel included when he felt left out or shy, so I sat with the boy, quietly kicked the ball back and forth just between us, and told him stories about how my brother and I used to play together back home in Spain.
Little by little, he smiled, stood up, and eventually asked if he could join the game. We walked over together, and he ended up having so much fun and giving me the biggest high five.
