Hello my name is Lucy. I am looking to care for children in my home in Ensley. Or a live in. I am a new resident of AL. I worked with Devereux Behavioral Health in a Shelter setting in Connecticut, working with children who had been held at the Border. I have worked with fully disabled children, children with ADHD, and autism. I have certifications in child trauma. I am CPI certified in de-escalation techniques. I can work night shift as well as day shift. I have a valid license, no vehicle at this time. I can provide a valid background check. I can easily acclimate to any environment, and provide a comforting space for parents and children. I am a very compassionate, empathetic & positive person. I am also a Wedding Photographer, having worked with wounded soldiers, and their families. I have done one live in before in Staten Island. I can charge $850 for a full time position giving care in my home. If you’re willing to pick me up/drop off, that is great as well.

Singing to a boy named Victor while he was getting a scary head X-Ray. The doctor told me to sit across from the machine, I could see him in front of me, and I could tell that Victor was scared, I sang songs and did funny faces for about 10 minutes, and Victor smiled and felt more at ease.
