Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
While I have had a variety of jobs I have almost always worked with young people.
When I was a teenager I lead sailing camping trips for 12/14 year-olds to the Boston Harbor Islands.
After college, I worked as a substitute teacher, and Kindergarten teaching assistant in numerous schools including: Russell Elementary School (BPS), UP Academy Dorchester, and La Jolla Country Day School.
My wife and I currently live at a boarding school. While I did not teach at Northfield Mount Hermon in Western Massachusetts I supervised teenagers in their dorms, classes and during farm work.
Throughout my experiences I have worked with students from a wide variety of faith traditions, family structures, and cultures.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I love to read with kids, be present with them and learn about who they are and what's going on with their lives.
It's fun to see the world with children whether thats running errands or more intentional fun like parks, museums, and local sites.
I am an active and outdoorsy person. I like to hike, and explore generally.

The most important part about being a nanny...
Looking after children is more fun than a lot of jobs, and it is a serious responsibility. Taking care of other people is hard work, but there is nothing that could be more important.

I have worked with special needs children in classroom settings providing one to one care and attention.
I have learned that a lot of practices which assist special needs children in their development is helpful to all kids.
