My experience with special needs children...

My experience with special needs children comes from both my personal and volunteer experiences. Growing up, I had three siblings who were considered to be on the autism spectrum, which has given me a deeper understanding of the importance of patience, communication, consistency, and individualized care. Additionally, I have participated in tutoring and mentorship opportunities through my church, where I have worked with children on the spectrum and supported their learning and development. These experiences have helped me become more adaptable and attentive to each child’s unique needs, strengths, and personality.

My favorite nanny moments are honestly too many to count. Each family and child I have cared for has given me special memories, from watching children reach new milestones, hearing their excitement when they learn something new, creating fun activities together, and seeing their confidence grow over time. One of the most rewarding parts of being a nanny is becoming someone a child feels safe and comfortable with while also being able to support their growth, curiosity, and happiness. The little moments—like a child proudly showing me something they learned, sharing a laugh together, or seeing their face light up during an activity—are the memories I cherish the most.
