Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I was a part of the "Special Buddies" program with my high school. My duties were to take my buddy to their class and help them with notes and just being there. If they weren't able to attend a full class, they would have me sit in their classroom and play sensory games and comforting them. If I had a lunch schedule with my buddy we would eat together in the classroom and I'd assist with feeding and we'd do homework. It was a lot of fun!
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I love going to the pool, playing outside. I absolutely love trips to the aquarium and the zoo and the interactive learning zones for kids. I'm still a playful child deep down and I love to learn and create art from things we find on walks and making meals with them!
The most important part about being a nanny...
Being a positive and safe space for the kids during them learning and developing who they are. Kids are so fun and keep life interesting and creative. Being someone they can trust when their parents are away is crucial.
My experience with special needs children...
I was a part of the Special Buddies program at my high school for 3 years. Responsibilities: feeding, walking to and from class, attending classes with them, play sensory and learning games, just being there for them like coloring instead of going to class if they are having a hard day.
