Activities I enjoy doing with children...
playing outside! playing sport activities! arts and crafts, dance parties, baking/cooking. LOVE helping learn new skills such as writing, reading, counting and anything kids want to know about! Reading to kids is a favorite past time for me!
The most important part about being a nanny...
honestly for me personally the bond is the most important being able to watch these beautiful children grow and experience some of the most amazing moments along side them is really just amazing for me. Seeing how happy they get when they show you their favorite art work or something they did that they thought was super exciting!
My experience with special needs children...
I have little experience but I grew up very closely involved with the Elementary all throughout High school aspect of special needs integration. I have been involved in learning center class, academic support classes, reading/speech classes etc and I also have a clear understanding of how kids feel when they grow up in what most people deem a “neurotypical environment” . It is a huge passion of mine to help kids 1:1 or maybe even have a class of my own in the future dedicated to helping kids on the spectrum or with learning disabilities/disorders and special needs succeed in every aspect of their life. I have also worked with kids on the spectrum and kids with ADD/ADHD in my early preschool/preschool classroom.
The most important part about being a nanny...
when I was working as a early preschool teacher I remember this beautiful baby girl came walking up to me as fast (as safely) as she could to give me a big hug because her mom told me she missed me over the weekend. I remember the rest of the day my mood was so good nothing could have brought it down. It was such an amazing feeling knowing how much my beautiful kids loved me just as much as I loved them.
