Consistency and honesty; for both parents and children alike, making sure everyone is on the same page and upfront about what can be reasonably delivered is most important to me.
My experience with special needs children...
I have had at least 10+ different children with a diagnosis over my career as an RBT in the field of ABA. I have always approached this field with the child’s assent in mind and believe in child-led therapy. I cannot give therapeutic services under any circumstance, but my experience will be helpful in navigating the child’s curiosity, emotions and desire to learn!
The most important part about being a nanny...
There’s too many to tell, but most recently, I enjoyed having a dodgeball battle where I lost 😞.
