On top of my four siblings, I also have done babysitting jobs in the past. I worked with one family for a couple of months up until I moved here.

I always bring crafts with me! Being watercolors, play dough, stickers, or chalk. Playing outside with plants and seeing new little critters is something I think is vital for children.

My experience with special needs children...
I cared for a child with autism last summer for two months. It was great since they always had so much energy we were always outside playing with something. They would get frustrated very easily and quickly but as long as I remained calm and helped them communicate their feelings, even when they would become nonverbal, they would be okay.
The most important part about being a nanny...
The summer last year was coming to an end which meant the kid I cared for would have to go to school and I would find another job, so on the last day of working there I brought water balloons and my little snow cone machine. Some of the kids friends came over and we just had a fun day of being outside. It was genuinely a perfect day and its a memory I hold close to my heart.
