The most important part about being a nanny...
During my second summer at my day camp, an 8 year old girl with relatively debilitating anxiety really struggled to get through a day without being in my group, so she was with me for the entire summer. I had to leave for college two weeks before the end of the summer, and she'd cry on and off the entire week leading up to my last day. When she was getting picked up on that friday, she gave me a cute gift and her mom insisted we get a picture. A couple weeks later she found my instagram and sent me it along with her first day of 3rd grade picture, which still makes me smile when I think about it today. The next summer she was back at camp but in an older group than I usually worked with, but she had a great summer without needing me to get by. I'd like to think I played a role in that, and I'd love to experience something like this again.
