A little bit about me

Hi! I’m here simply because I truly adore spending my time with children, and watching them grow to the best versions of their selves on a daily basis. I am very energetic, outgoing, jovial, and accepting. I love being active, if weather permits I am always outside! People commonly ask me why I love being around children so much. Children have a way of accepting a person for who they are unconditionally, something that I think we adults let fade away over time. They are honest, non judge mental, and eager to grab life by the horns. Why wouldn’t I want to spend my time with that outlook on life?! I have been very fortunate with the two families I have nannied for over the years. They truly feel like family to me, and it means a lot. I look forward to the next family I have the opportunity to work with!

More About Me

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

It depends on the child! I truly believe outdoor activities at least for an hour or so per day is beyond beneficial. With that said, each child is different and unique. With that comes different activists that he or she love to do. It is my intention to expose them to new activities that challenge them and help them see that trying new things in life is important. On the other hand, I think it’s important to also give them the platform of showing me a new activity that I can learn through them :)

The most important part about being a nanny...

Making sure the child/children feel comfortable and safe at all times. It’s important to have fun, but to also be serious when needed. Being a nanny is being a family member that the parents can rely on to make sure their child/children are happy and safe when they are with you.

The most important part about being a nanny...

Laughter. All moments where laughter. Was involved. Every child deserves to laugh and just be a kid as they’re growing. When I’m able to help that forget about what’s currently bothering them and make them laugh until their worries go away .. those are my favorite moments.

Blu S. - Seeking Work in San Diego

Live-In Full-Time Nanny Available in San Diego, CA: Blu S.

Hi I’m Blu. My very first job was babysitting and I’ve never worked a job to this day that didn’t involve child care. I have experience as a youth sports coach, mental health counselor, tutor, elementary aide, preschool teacher, and nanny of course! I have maintained CPr/first aid certifications for over 10 years. My bachelor’s degree is in psychology with a minor in early intervention and early childhood special education. And while all of that is very serious to me, I just may be the silliest adult you’ve ever met. My passion lies in watching children learn and grow on their terms while maintaining boundaries and safety. I truly care about every family and child I have ever worked with and will become a loyal and supportive part of any household that I am welcomed into.
