The most important part about being a nanny is the bonds and relationships created along the way. It is vital to me to feel a great connection to both the child and family so everyone involved feels safe, understood, and ready to take on each day! Along with that- safety of the child(ren) is of course top priority as well.
My experience with special needs children...
In the past I have nannied for for a toddler with Autism Spectrum Disorder. I have also worked as a Behavioral Therapist for children with special needs and behavioral disorders.
The most important part about being a nanny...
Ahh I have so many wonderful memories with past nanny kiddos and families, it’s so hard to choose! Although my favorite recent nanny moment was my nanny kids 2nd birthday (she loves all things soft, and loves stuffies!) So I took her to Build-A-Bear Workshop for her first time to celebrate her! It was so fun to watch her pick out her favorite furry friend and bring it home with her. She still carries it with her everywhere she goes! Such a fun and special day!
